Come, [a](A)let Us go down and there (B)confuse their [b]language, so that they will not understand one another’s [c]speech.” So the Lord (C)scattered them abroad from there over the face of all the earth; and they stopped building the city. Therefore it was named [d](D)Babel, because there the Lord confused the [e]language of all the earth; and from there the Lord scattered them abroad over the face of all the earth.
