29 Abram and Nahor married wives. The name of Abram’s wife was Sarai, and the name of Nahor’s wife was Milcah, the daughter of Haran, who was also the father of Iscah. 30 Sarai was barren. She had no child. 31 Terah took Abram his son, Lot the son of Haran, his son’s son, and Sarai his daughter-in-law, his son Abram’s wife. They went from Ur of the Chaldees, to go into the land of Canaan. They came to Haran and lived there.

29 Abram and Nahor(A) both married. The name of Abram’s wife was Sarai,(B) and the name of Nahor’s wife was Milkah;(C) she was the daughter of Haran, the father of both Milkah and Iskah. 30 Now Sarai was childless because she was not able to conceive.(D)
31 Terah took his son Abram, his grandson Lot(E) son of Haran, and his daughter-in-law(F) Sarai, the wife of his son Abram, and together they set out from Ur of the Chaldeans(G) to go to Canaan.(H) But when they came to Harran,(I) they settled there.
