Ezekiel 7:19

New International Version

¹⁹“‘They will throw their silver into the streets,^(A)
    and their gold will be treated as a thing unclean.
Their silver and gold
    will not be able to deliver them
    in the day of the Lord’s wrath.^(B)
It will not satisfy^(C) their hunger
    or fill their stomachs,
    for it has caused them to stumble^(D) into sin.^(E)

Should I let them inquire of me at all?^(C) ⁴Therefore speak to them and tell them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: When any of the Israelites set up idols in their hearts and put a wicked stumbling block before their faces and then go to a prophet, I the Lord will answer them myself in keeping with their great idolatry.
