Ephesians 5:11-14

¹¹And have ^(A)no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather ^[a]expose them. ¹²^(B)For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. ¹³But ^(C)all things that are ^[b]exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light. ¹⁴Therefore He says:

^(D)“Awake, you who sleep,
Arise from the dead,
And Christ will give you light.”

¹¹Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness,^(A) but rather expose them. ¹²It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. ¹³But everything exposed by the light^(B) becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. ¹⁴This is why it is said:

“Wake up, sleeper,^(C)
rise from the dead,^(D)
and Christ will shine on you.”^(E)
