²And I declared that the dead,^(A)
who had already died,
are happier than the living,

⁸The ^(A)end of a matter is better than its beginning;
^(B)Patience of spirit is better than arrogance of spirit.

⁸The end of a matter is better than its beginning,
and patience^(A) is better than pride.
