The Seventy Weeks
24 (A)“Seventy weeks[a] are decreed about your people and (B)your holy city, to finish (C)the transgression, to put an end to sin, (D)and to atone for iniquity, (E)to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal both vision and prophet, and (F)to anoint a most holy place.[b] 25 (G)Know therefore and understand that (H)from the going out of the word to restore and (I)build Jerusalem to the coming of an (J)anointed one, a (K)prince, there shall be seven weeks. Then for sixty-two weeks it shall be built again[c] with squares and moat, (L)but in a troubled time.

24 “Seventy ‘sevens’[a] are decreed for your people and your holy city(A) to finish[b] transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone(B) for wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness,(C) to seal up vision and prophecy and to anoint the Most Holy Place.[c]
25 “Know and understand this: From the time the word goes out to restore and rebuild(D) Jerusalem until the Anointed One,[d](E) the ruler,(F) comes, there will be seven ‘sevens,’ and sixty-two ‘sevens.’ It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble.(G)
