Daniel 1:4-7

⁴ youths without ^(A)blemish, of good appearance and ^(B)skillful in all wisdom, endowed with knowledge, understanding learning, and competent to stand in the king's palace, and to ^(C)teach them the literature and language of the ^(D)Chaldeans. ⁵ The king assigned them a daily portion of ^(E)the food that the king ate, and of ^(F)the wine that he drank. They were to be educated for ^(G)three years, and at the end of that time they were to ^(H)stand before the king. ⁶ Among these were ^(I)Daniel, ^(J)Hananiah, ^(K)Mishael, and ^(L)Azariah of the tribe of Judah. ⁷ And ^(M)the chief of the eunuchs ^(N)gave them names: ^(O)Daniel he called Belteshazzar, Hananiah he called Shadrach, Mishael he called Meshach, and Azariah he called Abednego.
