13 He [L came to me and] stood by me and said, ‘Brother Saul, ·see again [L look up; C an idiom for regaining sight]!’ ·Immediately [L At that hour] I ·was able to see [L looked up at] him. 14 He said, ‘The God of our ·ancestors [forefathers; fathers] ·chose [appointed] you long ago to know his ·plan [will; purpose], to see the Righteous One [C Jesus], and to hear ·words [a divine message; L a voice] from ·him [L his mouth]. 15 You will be his witness to all people, telling them about what you have seen and heard.

14 “Then he said: ‘The God of our ancestors(A) has chosen you to know his will and to see(B) the Righteous One(C) and to hear words from his mouth. 15 You will be his witness(D) to all people of what you have seen(E) and heard.
