15 (A)Those who conducted Paul brought him as far as (B)Athens, and after receiving a command (C)for Silas and Timothy to come to him as soon as possible, they departed.

16 Now while Paul was waiting for them at Athens, his spirit was (D)provoked within him as he saw that the city was (E)full of idols. 17 So (F)he reasoned in the synagogue with the Jews and the devout persons, and in the market-place every day with those who happened to be there.

16 While Paul was waiting for them in Athens, he was greatly distressed to see that the city was full of idols. 17 So he reasoned in the synagogue(C) with both Jews and God-fearing Greeks, as well as in the marketplace day by day with those who happened to be there.
