45 (A)And all the [a]circumcised believers who came with Peter were astounded that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been (B)poured out on the Gentiles also. 46 For they were hearing them (C)speaking with tongues and magnifying God. Then Peter answered, 47 “(D)Can anyone refuse water for these to be baptized who (E)have received the Holy Spirit just as we did?”

45 The circumcised believers who had come with Peter(A) were astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out(B) even on Gentiles.(C) 46 For they heard them speaking in tongues[a](D) and praising God.
Then Peter said, 47 “Surely no one can stand in the way of their being baptized with water.(E) They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have.”(F)
