2 Samuel 24:24-25

²⁴ However, the king said to Araunah, “No, but I will certainly buy it from you for a price; for ^(A)I will not offer burnt offerings to the Lord my God ^[a]that cost me nothing.” So ^(B)David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver. ²⁵ Then David built there an altar to the Lord, and he offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. And ^(C)the Lord responded to prayer for the land, and the plague was ^[b]withdrawn from Israel.
