³⁴ When your people go out for battle against their enemies on whatever way you send them, and they pray to you, facing toward this city which you have chosen and toward the house which I have built for your Name, ³⁵ then from heaven hear their prayer and their plea for mercy, and provide justice for them.

³⁶ When they sin against you (for there is no one who does not sin), and you become angry with them, and you give them up to an enemy, and they are taken captive to a land whether far or near,
