12 If we endure, (A)we will also reign with Him;
If we [a](B)deny Him, He will also deny us;
13 If we are faithless, (C)He remains faithful, for (D)He cannot deny Himself.
An Unashamed Worker
14 Remind them of these things, and solemnly (E)exhort them in the presence of God not to (F)dispute about words, which is useless and leads to the ruin of the listeners. 15 Be diligent to (G)present yourself approved to God as a worker who [b]does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling (H)the word of truth.

Dealing With False Teachers
14 Keep reminding God’s people of these things. Warn them before God against quarreling about words;(D) it is of no value, and only ruins those who listen. 15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.(E)

14 Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers.
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
