14 So in the morning David (A)wrote a letter to Joab and sent it by the hand of Uriah. 15 (B)He had written in the letter [a]the following: “[b]Station Uriah on the front line of the [c]fiercest battle and pull back from him, (C)so that he may be struck and killed.”

14 In the morning David wrote a letter(A) to Joab and sent it with Uriah. 15 In it he wrote, “Put Uriah out in front where the fighting is fiercest. Then withdraw from him so he will be struck down(B) and die.(C)”
