Jeremiah’s Message for Zedekiah

21 The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord when ^(A)King Zedekiah sent to him ^(B)Pashhur the son of Malchijah and ^(C)Zephaniah the priest, the son of Maaseiah, saying,

²⁵ “This is what the Lord of armies, the God of Israel says: ‘Because you have sent ^(A)letters in your own name to all the people who are in Jerusalem, and to ^(B)the priest Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah, and to all the priests, saying,

²⁹ Now ^(A)Zephaniah the priest read this letter ^[a]to Jeremiah the prophet.

³ Yet ^(A)King Zedekiah sent Jehucal the son of Shelemiah, and ^(B)the priest Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah, to Jeremiah the prophet, saying, “^(C)Please pray to the Lord our God in our behalf.”
