Impending Judgment on Judah

²⁶Nevertheless the Lord did not turn from the fierceness of His great wrath, with which His anger was aroused against Judah, ^(A)because of all the provocations with which Manasseh had provoked Him. ²⁷And the Lord said, “I will also remove Judah from My sight, as ^(B)I have removed Israel, and will cast off this city Jerusalem which I have chosen, and the house of which I said, ^(C)‘My name shall be there.’ ”

²⁶Nevertheless, the Lord did not turn away from the heat of his fierce anger,^(A) which burned against Judah because of all that Manasseh^(B) had done to arouse his anger. ²⁷So the Lord said, “I will remove^(C) Judah also from my presence^(D) as I removed Israel, and I will reject^(E) Jerusalem, the city I chose, and this temple, about which I said, ‘My Name shall be there.’^[a]”
