¹² And Elisha was watching it and he was crying out, “^(A)My father, my father, the chariot of Israel and its horsemen!” And he did not see ^[a]Elijah again. Then ^(B)he took hold of his own clothes and tore them in two pieces.

²¹ Then the king of Israel when he saw them, said to Elisha, “^(A)My father, shall I ^[a]kill them? Shall I ^[b]kill them?”

⁹ So Hazael went to meet him and took a gift in his hand, even every kind of good thing of Damascus, forty camels’ loads; and he came and stood before him and said, “^(A)Your son Ben-hadad king of Aram has sent me to you, saying, ‘Will I recover from this sickness?’”
