¹⁴ And David remained in the strongholds in the wilderness, in the hill country ^(A)of the wilderness of ^(B)Ziph. And Saul sought him every day, but God did not give him into his hand.

^11 (A)And you went over the Jordan and came to Jericho, ^(B)and the leaders of Jericho fought against you, and also ^(C)the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Girgashites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites. And I gave them into your hand.

⁷ And the Lord said to Gideon, ^(A)“With the 300 men who lapped I will save you and give the Midianites into your hand, and let all the others go every man to his home.”
