²⁰ But you have been ^(A)anointed by ^(B)the Holy One, and ^(C)you all have knowledge.^[a]

²⁷ But ^(A)the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and ^(B)you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and ^(C)is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him.

¹³ When ^(A)the Spirit of truth comes, ^(B)he will ^(C)guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but ^(D)whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. ¹⁴ He will ^(E)glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you.

¹⁰ these things ^(A)God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even ^(B)the depths of God. ¹¹ For who knows a person's thoughts ^(C)except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. ¹² Now ^(D)we have received not ^(E)the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God.

²¹ “And as for me, ^(A)this is my covenant with them,” says the Lord: “My Spirit that is upon you, ^(B)and my words that I have put in your mouth, shall not depart out of your mouth, or out of the mouth of your offspring, or out of the mouth of your children's offspring,” says the Lord, “from this time forth and forevermore.”
