1 Thessalonians 1:8-10

8 For (A)the word of the Lord has (B)sounded forth from you, not only in (C)Macedonia and (D)Achaia, but (E)in every place the news of your faith toward God has gone out, so that we have no need to say anything. 9 For they themselves report about us [a]as to the kind of (F)reception we had with you, and how you (G)turned to God (H)from [b]idols to serve [c](I)a living and true God, 10 and to (J)wait for His Son from [d]heaven, whom He (K)raised from the dead, that is, Jesus who (L)rescues us from (M)the wrath to come.

8 The Lord’s message(A) rang out from you not only in Macedonia and Achaia—your faith in God has become known everywhere.(B) Therefore we do not need to say anything about it, 9 for they themselves report what kind of reception you gave us. They tell how you turned(C) to God from idols(D) to serve the living and true God,(E) 10 and to wait for his Son from heaven,(F) whom he raised from the dead(G)—Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath.(H)
