22 Then David left his (A)baggage in the [a]care of the baggage keeper and ran to the battle line and entered in order to greet his brothers. 23 As he was speaking with them, behold, the champion, the Philistine from Gath named Goliath, was coming up from the battle lines of the Philistines, and he spoke (B)these same words; and David heard them.
24 Now all the men of Israel saw the man, and they fled from him and were greatly afraid.

22 David left his things with the keeper of supplies,(A) ran to the battle lines and asked his brothers how they were. 23 As he was talking with them, Goliath, the Philistine champion from Gath, stepped out from his lines and shouted his usual(B) defiance, and David heard it. 24 Whenever the Israelites saw the man, they all fled from him in great fear.
