^7 (A)The end of all things is at hand; therefore ^(B)be self-controlled and sober-minded ^(C)for the sake of your prayers.

^8 (A)Be sober-minded; ^(B)be watchful. Your ^(C)adversary the devil ^(D)prowls around ^(E)like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

⁶ So then ^(A)let us not sleep, as others do, but let us ^(B)keep awake and ^(C)be sober.

⁸ But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, ^(A)having put on the breastplate of ^(B)faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation.

⁵ As for you, ^(A)always be sober-minded, ^(B)endure suffering, do the work of ^(C)an evangelist, ^(D)fulfill your ministry.
