Who is the liar except (A)the one who denies that Jesus is the [a]Christ? This is (B)the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son. 23 (C)Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father; the one who confesses the Son has the Father also. 24 As for you, see that what you heard (D)from the beginning remains in you. If what you heard from the beginning remains in you, you also (E)will remain in the Son and in the Father.

The Promise Is Eternal Life

(F)This is the promise which He Himself [b]made to us: eternal life.

These things I have written to you concerning those who are trying to (G)deceive you. 27 And as for you, the (H)anointing which you received from Him remains in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing (I)teaches you about all things, and is (J)true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, [c]you remain in Him.

Now, (K)little children, remain in Him, so that when He (L)appears, we may have (M)confidence and (N)not [d]draw back from Him in shame [e]at His (O)coming. 29 If you know that (P)He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness also (Q)has been born of Him.
