8 Love never fails; but if there are gifts of [a](A)prophecy, they will be done away with; if there are (B)tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away with. 9 For we (C)know in part and prophesy in part; 10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will be done away with. 11 When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I [b]became a man, I did away with childish things. 12 For now we (D)see in a mirror [c]dimly, but then (E)face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully, just as I also (F)have been fully known.

8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies,(A) they will cease; where there are tongues,(B) they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part(C) and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes,(D) what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood(E) behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror;(F) then we shall see face to face.(G) Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.(H)
