³¹ Behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: ³² not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; ^[a]which my covenant they brake, although I was ^[b]a husband unto them, saith Jehovah. ³³ But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith Jehovah: I will put my law in their inward parts, and in their heart will I write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

3 Behold, I send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, will suddenly come to his temple; ^[a]and the ^[b]messenger of the covenant, whom ye desire, behold, he cometh, saith Jehovah of hosts.

²⁸ for this is my blood of the ^[a]covenant, which is poured out for many unto remission of sins.

²⁶ else must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once at the ^[a]end of the ages hath he been manifested to put away sin ^[b]by the sacrifice of himself.

⁸ Saying above, Sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein (the which are offered according to the law), ⁹ then hath he said, Lo, I am come to do thy will. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
