Psalm 24-30

New King James Version

^3 (C)Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord?
Or who may stand in His holy place?
⁴ He who has ^(D)clean hands and ^(E)a pure heart,
Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol,
Nor ^(F)sworn deceitfully.
⁵ He shall receive blessing from the Lord,
And righteousness from the God of his salvation.
⁶ This is Jacob, the generation of those who ^(G)seek Him,
Who seek Your face. Selah

^7 (H)Lift up your heads, O you gates!
And be lifted up, you everlasting doors!
^(I)And the King of glory shall come in.
⁸ Who is this King of glory?
The Lord strong and mighty,
The Lord mighty in ^(J)battle.
⁹ Lift up your heads, O you gates!
Lift up, you everlasting doors!
And the King of glory shall come in.
¹⁰ Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
He is the King of glory. Selah

^4 (N)Show me Your ways, O Lord;
Teach me Your paths.
⁵ Lead me in Your truth and teach me,
For You are the God of my salvation;
On You I wait all the day.

⁶ Remember, O Lord, ^(O)Your tender mercies and Your lovingkindnesses,
For they are from of old.
⁷ Do not remember ^(P)the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions;
^(Q)According to Your mercy remember me,
For Your goodness’ sake, O Lord.

⁸ Good and upright is the Lord;
Therefore He teaches sinners in the way.
⁹ The humble He guides in justice,
And the humble He teaches His way.
¹⁰ All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth,
To such as keep His covenant and His testimonies.
^11 (R)For Your name’s sake, O Lord,
Pardon my iniquity, for it is great.

¹² Who is the man that fears the Lord?
^(S)Him shall ^[c]He teach in the way He chooses.
^13 (T)He himself shall dwell in ^[d]prosperity,
And ^(U)his descendants shall inherit the earth.
^14 (V)The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him,
And He will show them His covenant.
^15 (W)My eyes are ever toward the Lord,
For He shall ^[e]pluck my feet out of the net.

^16 (X)Turn Yourself to me, and have mercy on me,
For I am ^[f]desolate and afflicted.
¹⁷ The troubles of my heart have enlarged;
Bring me out of my distresses!
^18 (Y)Look on my affliction and my pain,
And forgive all my sins.
¹⁹ Consider my enemies, for they are many;
And they hate me with ^[g]cruel hatred.
²⁰ Keep my soul, and deliver me;
Let me not be ashamed, for I put my trust in You.
²¹ Let integrity and uprightness preserve me,
For I wait for You.

^22 (Z)Redeem Israel, O God,
Out of all their troubles!

⁶ I will wash my hands in innocence;
So I will go about Your altar, O Lord,
⁷ That I may proclaim with the voice of thanksgiving,
And tell of all Your wondrous works.
⁸ Lord, ^(AH)I have loved the habitation of Your house,
And the place ^[i]where Your glory dwells.

^9 (AI)Do^[j] not gather my soul with sinners,
Nor my life with bloodthirsty men,
¹⁰ In whose hands is a sinister scheme,
And whose right hand is full of ^(AJ)bribes.

¹¹ But as for me, I will walk in my integrity;
Redeem me and be merciful to me.
^12 (AK)My foot stands in an even place;
In the congregations I will bless the Lord.

^4 (AP)One thing I have desired of the Lord,
That will I seek:
That I may ^(AQ)dwell in the house of the Lord
All the days of my life,
To behold the ^[l]beauty of the Lord,
And to inquire in His temple.
⁵ For ^(AR)in the time of trouble
He shall hide me in His pavilion;
In the secret place of His tabernacle
He shall hide me;
He shall ^(AS)set me high upon a rock.

⁶ And now ^(AT)my head shall be ^[m]lifted up above my enemies all around me;
Therefore I will offer sacrifices of ^[n]joy in His tabernacle;
I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.

⁷ Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice!
Have mercy also upon me, and answer me.
⁸ When You said, “Seek My face,”
My heart said to You, “Your face, Lord, I will seek.”
^9 (AU)Do not hide Your face from me;
Do not turn Your servant away in anger;
You have been my help;
Do not leave me nor forsake me,
O God of my salvation.
^10 (AV)When my father and my mother forsake me,
Then the Lord will take care of me.

^11 (AW)Teach me Your way, O Lord,
And lead me in a smooth path, because of my enemies.
¹² Do not deliver me to the will of my adversaries;
For ^(AX)false witnesses have risen against me,
And such as breathe out violence.
¹³ I would have lost heart, unless I had believed
That I would see the goodness of the Lord
^(AY)In the land of the living.

^14 (AZ)Wait^[o] on the Lord;
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Wait, I say, on the Lord!

³ Do not ^[p]take me away with the wicked
And with the workers of iniquity,
^(BE)Who speak peace to their neighbors,
But evil is in their hearts.
^4 (BF)Give them according to their deeds,
And according to the wickedness of their endeavors;
Give them according to the work of their hands;
Render to them what they deserve.
⁵ Because ^(BG)they do not regard the works of the Lord,
Nor the operation of His hands,
He shall destroy them
And not build them up.

⁶ Blessed be the Lord,
Because He has heard the voice of my supplications!
⁷ The Lord is ^(BH)my strength and my shield;
My heart ^(BI)trusted in Him, and I am helped;
Therefore my heart greatly rejoices,
And with my song I will praise Him.

⁸ The Lord is ^[q]their strength,
And He is the ^(BJ)saving refuge of His ^[r]anointed.
⁹ Save Your people,
And bless ^(BK)Your inheritance;
Shepherd them also,
^(BL)And bear them up forever.

³ The voice of the Lord is over the waters;
^(BO)The God of glory thunders;
The Lord is over many waters.
⁴ The voice of the Lord is powerful;
The voice of the Lord is full of majesty.

⁵ The voice of the Lord breaks ^(BP)the cedars,
Yes, the Lord splinters the cedars of Lebanon.
^6 (BQ)He makes them also skip like a calf,
Lebanon and ^(BR)Sirion like a young wild ox.
⁷ The voice of the Lord ^[w]divides the flames of fire.

⁸ The voice of the Lord shakes the wilderness;
The Lord shakes the Wilderness of ^(BS)Kadesh.
⁹ The voice of the Lord makes the ^(BT)deer give birth,
And strips the forests bare;
And in His temple everyone says, “Glory!”

¹⁰ The ^(BU)Lord sat enthroned at the Flood,
And ^(BV)the Lord sits as King forever.
^11 (BW)The Lord will give strength to His people;
The Lord will bless His people with peace.

^4 (CC)Sing praise to the Lord, you saints of His,
And give thanks at the remembrance of ^[y]His holy name.
⁵ For ^(CD)His anger is but for a moment,
^(CE)His favor is for life;
Weeping may endure for a night,
But ^[z]joy comes in the morning.

⁶ Now in my prosperity I said,
“I shall never be ^[aa]moved.”
⁷ Lord, by Your favor You have made my mountain stand strong;
^(CF)You hid Your face, and I was troubled.

⁸ I cried out to You, O Lord;
And to the Lord I made supplication:
⁹ “What profit is there in my blood,
When I go down to the pit?
^(CG)Will the dust praise You?
Will it declare Your truth?
¹⁰ Hear, O Lord, and have mercy on me;
Lord, be my helper!”

^11 (CH)You have turned for me my mourning into dancing;
You have put off ^[ab]my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness,
¹² To the end that my ^[ac]glory may sing praise to You and not be silent.
O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever.
