The Beatitudes

20 And He raised His eyes toward His disciples and began saying, (A)Blessed are [a]you who are poor, for (B)yours is the kingdom of God. 21 Blessed are [b]you who are hungry now, for you will be satisfied. Blessed are [c]you who weep now, for you will laugh. 22 (C)Blessed are you when the people hate you, and when they [d](D)exclude you, and insult you, and scorn your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man. 23 Rejoice on that day and (E)jump for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven. For their fathers used to [e]treat the prophets (F)the same way.
