45 Then He (A)opened their [a]minds to understand the Scriptures, 46 and He said to them, (B)So it is written, that the [b]Christ would suffer and (C)rise from the dead on the third day, 47 and that (D)repentance [c]for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed [d]in His name to (E)all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem. 48 You are (F)witnesses of these things. 49 And behold, (G)I am sending the promise of My Father upon you; but (H)you are to stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.”

The Ascension

50 And He led them out as far as (I)Bethany, and He lifted up His hands and blessed them. 51 While He was blessing them, He parted from them and was carried up into heaven. 52 And they, after worshiping Him, returned to Jerusalem with great joy, 53 and were continually in the temple [e]praising God.
