Genesis 11:7-9

⁷ Come, ^[a](A)let Us go down and there ^(B)confuse their ^[b]language, so that they will not understand one another’s ^[c]speech.” ⁸ So the Lord ^(C)scattered them abroad from there over the face of all the earth; and they stopped building the city. ⁹ Therefore it was named ^[d](D)Babel, because there the Lord confused the ^[e]language of all the earth; and from there the Lord scattered them abroad over the face of all the earth.
