Genesis 15:2-4

² But Abram said, “Lord ^[a]God, what will You give me, since I ^[b]am childless, and the ^[c]heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?” ³ Abram also said, “^[d]Since You have given me no ^[e]son, ^[f]one who has been ^(A)born in my house is my heir.” ⁴ Then behold, the word of the Lord came to him, saying, “This man will not be your heir; ^(B)but one who will come from your own ^[g]body shall be your heir.”
