Proverbs 2:13-20

New American Standard Bible

¹³ From those who ^(A)leave the paths of uprightness
To walk in the ^(B)ways of darkness;
¹⁴ Who ^(C)delight in doing evil
And rejoice in the perversity of evil;
¹⁵ Whose paths are ^(D)crooked,
And who are devious in their ways;
¹⁶ To ^(E)rescue you from the strange woman,
From the ^(F)foreign woman who flatters with her words,
¹⁷ Who leaves the ^(G)companion of her youth
And forgets the ^(H)covenant of her God;
¹⁸ For ^(I)her house sinks down to death,
And her tracks lead to the ^[a]dead;
¹⁹ None ^(J)who go to her return,
Nor do they reach the ^(K)paths of life.
²⁰ So you will ^(L)walk in the way of good people
And keep to the ^(M)paths of the righteous.
