Driving Out an Unclean Spirit

²¹ They^(A) went into Capernaum,^(B) and right away he entered the synagogue^(C) on the Sabbath^(D) and began to teach.^(E)

The Son of Man Forgives and Heals

2 When^(A) he entered Capernaum^(B) again after some days, it was reported that he was at home.

²³ Then he said to them, “No doubt you will quote this proverb^[a] to me: ‘Doctor, heal yourself. What we’ve heard that took place in Capernaum,^(A) do here in your hometown also.’”

¹² After this, he went down to Capernaum,^(A) together with his mother, his brothers,^(B) and his disciples, and they stayed there only a few days.

The Second Sign: Healing an Official’s Son

⁴⁶ He went again to Cana^(A) of Galilee, where he had turned the water into wine. There was a certain royal official whose son was ill at Capernaum.^(B)
